B-BoA
BoA was actually the original reason I got into Japanese music. I used to listen to a lot of K-pop(and still do at times) and BoA is someone you can't miss in the K-pop world. So I had a friend tell me that she did Japanese songs as well and I got hooked from there on.
C-Crystal Kay
Those of you not familiar with this artist should know she's half-Korean, half-black. Brilliant R&B artist that has been around for a couple of years and has a great voice. (thanks to strawberrie for the correction!)
D-Dreams Come True
A great Duo that has been around for a while. The group is know for their more romantic songs, like the above, as well as some songs that are very upbeat, like Nando Demo. The lead singer has an amazing range, I might add.
E-Every Little Thing
  This is  another man-woman  duo like the above . This is my favorite group outside H!P, due to the fact that they have songs  that are actually 10 years old but sound like they would fit in with today's world. The above one is a great example of what I mean.
F-Folder 5

ahhh...my first real experience with Japanese techno, which I have to say I have grown to love. This group got me into j-pop/Techno in the first place. They are the first actually japanese artist that I listened to, and I must say I have no regrets at all.  they had some great music.
G-Globe

What a great band with some really powerful lyrics! Take the above song for example, Departure. Great live performance from the duo. (Notice a theme, anyone?) I really got into this group when my friend accidently added a song one of their songs on my MP3 player, and I thank her for that mistake to this day. :P
H-HALCALI

A duo I recently got into due to reading a blog that had posted their It's Party Time! PV on it. It interested me so I decided to check it out and I loved it!
I-Imai Miki

Great soloist who has been around for 20+ years. She has one of the strongest voices I've heard from a singer in a while. Her songs are always really well-written and suit her well. She tends to do quite a few ballads but I love her regardless. ;)
J-Jun Shibata
Another amazing soloist who does a lot of ballads as well. She has a very enchanting voice that makes you feel her emotions. Really great thing to have as a singer, in my opinion.
K-Kreva

Another artist that I found looking through people's blogs that I see on IntlWota all the time. This is a really fun song that is very danceable, not to mention that the rapper is very good and makes it sound very smooth.
L-Leah Dizon
Ah, Leah Dizon. She has really improved lately and has been to gain my fanship. She really is geeting to be up in my ranks of top 20 singers. She first came to my attention after I saw a lot of people flaming about her in a forum, so I decided to see if she was really all that bad and truth be told, I didn't hate it. I loved it. :)
M-M-flo

Found about about these guys due to their duets with BoA and have since grown to love them. they are really quite innovative with their music and has a great ability to be able to blend with virtually any other artist which is shown through their m-flo loves songs.
N-Namie Amuro
A person who hails from the same town as I do, Okinawa, Japan. :P A great singer who has really had a tough life, but has been able to push through it all and great great Hip-pop. An interesting fact about this artist, the only place you can find her B-sides are on the singles themselves. She doesn't put them on her albums at all.
