It was recently announced today that C-ute member, Arihara Kanna is no longer with in the holds of H!P. After a long and lengthy absence from the group and her lack of participations in the groups last two singles, this was only bound to happen. Originally, she was believed to only be absent for a short time due to foot bunions. This is a very sad end to someone who seemed to be going far in the world H!P. Did her past scandal(s) have anything to do with her leaving? We'll never know...
Now on to the opinions portion of this article.
I was never really a big fan of Kanna since the beginning of C-ute. However after about Namida no Iro, My opinions on her slowly began to move towards the more favorable side of the scale. The most impressve thing about her was that she was finally coming into her own and she goes and takes a 4-month absence from the world. I really feel that this may actually be useful to her in someway and wish her all the best. If in ten years, we see hr again as a solo singer, I wouldn't be susprised. Although, the opposite is the more likely as with all those who leave H!P at a young age. I will miss you, Kanna, and your great cover of I Wish. :)
For those of you who don't know about me, I tend to listen never listen to the B-sides of any single I every buy.(the exception to that was The Peace! Single) Recently, I decided to do just that and I discovered something...I actually like quite a few of them! Which surprised me a bit.
The first one I like to note is 恋ing from MM's Go Girl! ~Koi no victory~ single. I really liked the fact that was slower paced that its A-side and seems to feature Eri a bit, which is a really nice bit in the song because she does really well with ballads such as this one. I felt it was a breath of fresh air on the single after the A-side, though it happens to be one of my favorite MM songs of all time.
The next one I decided to try was on °C-ute's
Tokaikko Junjou single,Shiritsu Kyougaku. It really wasn't sometime I enjoyed very much at all. I do like the fact that that Okai Chisato has a nice part in this song. I hope it means that she will get a bigger part in an A-side, (prays). although that might not happen...Altogether it wasn't a bad song it has a great beat but all together forgetable, even for a B-side.My third try at a B-side was Let's Live off V-u-den's
Koisuru Angel Heart single. I actually really quite enjoyed this one! It was a very upbeat, uplifting song that worked a lot off harmonies and counter melodies which were very good considering v-u-den's never been the best at those sort of things. I really did enjoy this song, I repeated it a few times in a row. :PMy last go at a B-side for tonight was Tsuugaku Ressha from Happy Summer Wedding Day. It is a moderate fast paced ballad, (which I'm being to believe almost all B-sides are.) This song really featured all the members at the time without featuring any one over another, which is a big turn on for me when it comes to songs. I also really enjoyed the instrumentation in this song, very creative use of instruments. I think that they really made this song as great as it is, without them I just don't think I would like it as well as I do. This is certainly in my top ten MM songs.
(Sorry, I havent written much lately! I promise I will as soon as I can!)
Just like to show a performance from Kouhaku Uta Gassen 2007!
This chip has all the H!P groups(Berryz, C-ute, MM) preforming. MM does love machine, Berryz does Tsukiatteru no ni Kataomoi, C-ute does Tokaikko Junjou, and then all three groups does a song I'm not familiar with...Really great performances from all three groups, although the outfits, I'm not so sure about. ;( And poor Sayumi, whoever did her hair must have been really insane or a huge star wars fan. :(
